The wedding ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 PM, so we ask that everyone arrive early to be seated.

After the ceremony, guests will make an eight-minute walk to the reception venue, taking in the sights of the historic Governor's Palace and the Macroplaza Christmas festival. Please keep the walk in mind when selecting your shoes. For anyone who prefers not to walk, transportation will be available.

For guests staying in our hotel blocks, complimentary shuttles will be provided to the church before the ceremony and back to the hotels following the reception.

For guests arriving by car, La Casona de Santa Lucía has valet parking available, including during the church ceremony.

Getting around
From the airport

Uber and Didi both work at Monterrey airport (MTY). Plan for a 35–55 minute ride to your hotel (MX$450–800, roughly US$25–45), depending on traffic. One tip: request the ride after you've exited the arrivals hall, not while you're still inside, so the driver doesn't arrive before you reach the curb. If you'd rather not use an app, official fixed-fare taxis are sold at a counter inside arrivals.

Returns from the reception

Multiple shuttle return times will be available throughout the evening (schedule TBD). Uber is available for guests who prefer to travel outside of the complimentary shuttle times. You can also coordinate with your hotel's front desk to book direct transportation.

Worth the drive, worth the planning

These are the best days out around Monterrey, and there are two easy ways to do them. Uber runs in Santiago 24/7 and San Pedro is one of its regular routes, so it works in both directions — just allow a little extra time for the car to arrive on the way back, and you can book that return ride in the app ahead of time. Or have your hotel concierge arrange round-trip transport, which is the simplest option for the parks.

Francisco's personal pick if you want a whole day out. A Pueblo Mágico about 35 minutes south of the hotels, where you can take your time over lunch and wander the colonial plaza, with the Presa de la Boca reservoir nearby and the Cola de Caballo waterfall a little further up the sierra. For lunch, Las Palomas de Santiago is the town classic, right by the plaza — the asado de puerco is what to order. La Casa de la Abuela on Morelos 112, in Santiago's historic center, is the better stop for breakfast, empanadas and pan de elote.

Dramatic rock formations in Santa Catarina, about twenty minutes west of the hotels — the most spectacular landscape this close to the city. Sunrise and sunset give the best light on the canyon walls.

A few things you may be wondering

What language will the ceremony be in?
The Mass will be celebrated bilingually in Spanish and English at Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón. Programs will be printed in both languages so every guest can follow along comfortably. Toasts and the welcome at the reception will also be bilingual.
How do I get from the hotel to the venues?
If you're staying at any of the Safi hotels, complimentary shuttle service will run between the hotel, the church, and the reception. Shuttle times will be communicated via text leading up to the wedding. If you're staying somewhere else or prefer to travel on your own, Uber and Didi are both widely available throughout Monterrey and work great.
If I'm driving, where should I park?
Parking near the church is limited. If you're driving and plan to attend the reception afterward, the easiest move is to come early, park at Casona de Santa Lucía (the reception venue, where parking is plentiful), and walk to the church. It's an eight-minute walk through the Paseo Santa Lucía. After the ceremony, walk back together with everyone for the reception.
What if my flight is delayed or I can't make it?

Our photographer will capture the Mass and the reception. We'll share a link to the full album after the wedding so you can relive every moment.
